Guaranteed Fit Stop
Experience Design | 3D Visualization |
Immersive Real-Time Configurator

Located on the F1 Miami Grand Prix promenade, the Guaranteed Fit Stop was eBay Motors’ primary experiential activation during race weekend. Designed to capture attention as fans moved between races and brand activations, the space highlighted eBay’s partnership with McLaren Racing and showcased the brand’s Guaranteed Fit promise.

At the center was the Guaranteed Fit Simulator, a real-time digital experience that allowed fans to build and customize a virtual vehicle with confidence that every selected part was compatible. Framed as a fashion-inspired pit stop, the activation paired McLaren x eBay apparel try-ons with hands-on car customization, connecting personal style with automotive identity.

Guaranteed Fit confirms that parts purchased through eBay Motors match a customer’s specific vehicle, removing uncertainty around compatibility and ensuring buyers can shop with confidence knowing the part will fit as expected, or they’re covered.

The Goal

eBay activated its partnership with the McLaren F1 Team at the Miami Grand Prix, where competition for attention was intense. The brand needed a high-impact, immersive experience that could cut through the crowded F1 environment while clearly communicating the value of its Guaranteed Fit promise to a highly informed audience of racing fans and car enthusiasts.

Insight

Car enthusiasts are deliberate and detail-driven when customizing their vehicles, viewing each build as an extension of personal identity. Decisions around parts, fit, and finish directly influence confidence in the final result. For this audience, visual accuracy and correctness are just as important as performance—especially when they know exactly what they’re looking at.

My Role:

Collaborated closely with the Inphantry Art Director to develop customized vehicle variants based on concept art, incorporating unique proportions, wheel selections, and accessory details. Modeled and modified vehicles in Maya, then integrated them into Unreal Engine for real-time setup of materials, textures, configuration logic, and lighting.

This workflow resulted in a polished, high-fidelity real-time vehicle customization experience suitable for a high-visibility, live event environment.
